Oct. 11 -- There's already been a car crash, a love triangle, a coma, two pregnancies and, as always, basketball -- and the season just started.

It's a new year at 'One Tree Hill' and, giddy to hear what's to come, guest editor Jessica Freundel caught up with series star Chad Michael Murray for all the dish. He was tight-lipped about the evil Dan is plotting (it's gotta be big!) but he did spill the dirt on post-high school life, the baby news and his thoughts on Lucas getting in touch with his dark side. Plus, he confesses his less-than-stellar basketball skills. Shocking!

This new season looks awesome. Dan looks meaner then ever. He has to be the most evil guy on TV right now.
Yeah, they don't really pull any punches with him.

What is Dan up to this season?
Honestly I don't know. To me, it seems like he's trying to reach out and try to rekindle some of the relationships he may have burned bridges for in the past. I think he might be coming around actually.

We always think he is, and then we discover his evil plan. You've got a lot going on as far as the whole Brooke and Peyton thing. Do you have anything that's coming up?
Love triangles. I can't give anything away, but there are some major events that occur throughout the next few episodes that bring Lucas and Peyton closer together with friendship.

So who do you think Lucas should be with -- Brooke or Peyton?
I don't really think about it, but what I do think is that Lucas should totally become a Goth. I think he should go down that dark road because I would be fun for me to play. He's been through hell and back and maybe it is time for him to revolt. He's always helping everybody and it doesn't always pay off, he tries to do the right thing and it always slaps him in the face. His uncle died, all of these things just keep happening, so I think that maybe he should go into this dark place until he gets a psychologist because anyone who actually went through all that stuff in real life would definitely need a psychologist.

What was it like to dive in that gross river in the first episode of the season?
I couldn't wait. They weren't going to let me jump. And I said, "Guys! Woah! The only reason I'm here today is to jump into the river." They're like, "Insurance purposes -- you can't do it." And I was like, "Whatever guys. I'm jumping."

Did you jump?
Oh yeah, I jumped. It was like 25 feet over the water. It's funny because it didn't look that high when you're standing up there looking at it from the bridge, but the second you jump all of sudden you go, "Oh wow, this is higher then I thought." 'Cause you just keep falling.

It looked far on TV, I'll tell you that.
And I looked like a weirdo. We only did one take of it and ... my face was all scrunched up. It wasn't very flattering. Oh well, such is life. I got to jump!

Hilarie Burton So what else is coming up on the show? We've got a couple of pregnancies this season.
Oh yeah! Did they announce who was pregnant on the show yet?

They alluded to it. It's either Brooke or Haley.
Well, I can just say, yeah, we got pregnancies.

And Lucas' mom is pregnant?
She's having Keith's baby. I think it'll be a good story line for her.
