Aug. 6 -- He wore his heart on his sleeve during his touching exit
speech to gal pal Daniele but hottie Nick Starcevic was still evicted on Thursday night's 'Big Brother.' But the former football player managed to sway at least two members of the house to vote to keep him around, but they weren't the two that he might have expected.

AOL TV's Angel Cohn caught up with the recently ousted Nick to find out
if he was surprised that Zach and Eric voted for him to stay, what he hopes will become of his relationship with Daniele, why he decided to shed his locks and who was most irritating to be around.

Were you surprised that you were the one that went home this week?
I was surprised when I was nominated, but I wasn't surprised at the eviction. I kind of knew where the votes were going. I am surprised at who voted for me and who didn't.

I was wondering if you thought Daniele and Amber had cast the votes to keep you.
I thought it was Daniele and Dick actually. After I heard about America's Player I thought maybe it was Daniele and Eric.

Are you surprised that Zach stuck true to your Mrs. Robinson
alliance and voted to keep you in the house?

Yeah. Zach and I we had a good little friendship inside the house. He's a very loyal person. He'd be saying one thing to me and then dabbling in other people's situations and I thought that he couldn't be trusted, but in the end, he had my back. I thank him for that. He's a good guy, he just annoyed people because he would follow the HOH's around and that got on some people's nerves.

You looked shocked when Julie told you about America's Player.
Was my jaw on the floor or what? It was kind of a weird state when you leave and I was shell-shocked and then Eric was like, "I'm the twist." I'm like, "What? You are my enemy." Then he said America had something to do with it and I understood what was going on. I think it is a neat twist.

Eric did model his hairstyle after you.
He did. That copycat.

What inspired you to do the mohawk? Were you really annoyed?
Truthfully it wasn't like I was mad and shaving off my long locks. I wanted to go with a different look every week. Week four just happened to be my mohawk look.

What was your plan for week five?
Week five was going to be me dyeing my mohawk blonde and then I was going to get rid of the facial hair.

When you heard the twist about the enemy twist, were you nervous? Was there someone you were afraid to see in the house?
Yeah. I was kind of waiting for my ex-girlfriend to walk down the spiral staircase.

That might have made things awkward with your flirtation with Daniele.
Very awkward.

People were speculating that you and Jen knew each other prior to the house since she got so upset when you started befriending Daniele.
There is nothing between Jen and I. I threw out the idea of flirting with her right away. She got really attached within two or three days and she kind of put it out there and said, "I don't want you talking to Daniele." I'm like, "You've got to be kidding! You are in the loony bin."

Was flirting part of your initial strategy?
Absolutely. That was probably my main strategy with the female persuasion.

And Joe.
And Joe and Dustin! I was going to flirt it up, but then I met Daniele and I just wanted to isolate myself with her because that was what made me happy.

Was it hard to convince her that you weren't just flirting with her for strategy?
You'd better believe it was. Look at the context of the show, you can't trust anybody basically. My main goal at the end of it wasn't to win the $500,000, but to make sure certain people got through and I wanted Daniele to really know that every word I said was real.
