May 15 -- After battling hunger, bug bites and backstabbing, Aras Baskauskas -- a 24-year-old yoga instructor from Santa Monica, Calif. -- defeated Danielle DiLorenzo to take top prize on the finale of 'Survivor: Panama -- Exile Island.'

He recently chatted with AOL Television editor Kelly Woo about his winning strategy, how he really felt about his fellow tribe members and his first meal as a millionaire.

Were you surprised when Jeff Probst called your name?
I wasn't surprised. I had a feeling I was going to win. I thought I had the votes.

How were you feeling at that moment – exhilarated?
Relieved. I would've been very disappointed after I'd been sitting around for five months thinking I had won.

What are you going to do with your $1 million?
I'm investing in a company called Tundragear.com. And I'm going to teach yoga and hold yoga retreats.

Did you and Shane ever make up? He was really harsh on you at the final tribal council.
Yes. Sometimes in life, you take the low road. But you know, he said I had backstabbed him, when he was trying to backstab me.

Cirie of 'Survivor: Exile Island'

If you didn't win, who would you like to have seen win the competition in your place?
Cirie, definitely.

You guys were so close. What was it about her?
She's just a great person. I liked her from the moment I saw her smile at finals.

If Danielle had picked Terry instead of you, would you really have voted for Terry?
Yes. He was such a great competitor and did so much around camp. You know, what did Danielle do that Terry didn't?

What was your strategy before you got on the show and how did it change once you got on the island?
My strategy was to create real relationships with people, not just friendships for the sake of votes.

Sally of 'Survivor: Exile Island'

Which of the cast members do you wish you'd gotten to know better?
Melinda. She's such a sweetheart. I had a little crush on Ruth Marie, and I want to marry Sally.

What's the first thing you ate after the show?
Two double-doubles.
