Xena first appeared in 3 episodes of "Hercules:The Legendary Journeys" which dealt with Hercules' attempts to turn Xena away from her goal of world domination and their subsequent partnership to stop Xena's former lieutenant from terrorizing the land. The Xena character proved to be popular enough to warrant her own show.
