History:
Merv Griffin, the show's executive producer, created the series in his living room in 1964. He also wrote the famous "think" theme music played over the "Final Jeopardy!" round and the credits. Contestant Ken Jennings of Utah made history in 2004 when he won 74 consecutive shows in a row. He finished his record-breaking reign with over $2 million in prize money.
