Description
Assembly line worker and family man George is promoted to manage an airplane parts factory in Los Angeles. Meanwhile, his live-in, insensitive, difficult mother makes things complicated. Following a quick downward spiral due to the over-programming of "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire," ABC expressed a re-commitment to family programming. "George Lopez" was the first family comedy to make it to air, getting bonus points for its ethnic diversity. In addition, movie star Sandra Bullock makes her TV-producing debut.
