Stoners and nerds unite ... Growing up circa 1980, a misfit high school kid and his pals are probably destined to become new media millionaires but right now they're stuck in dodgeball hell, where all the girls are a foot taller and bullies terrorize the gym class. Meanwhile, his older sister is flirting with the dope-smoking bad boys, cutting classes and questioning the point of getting good grades.<#$>The Cast: John Daley plays gawky freshman Sam with Linda Cardellini as his sister Lindsay. Samm Levine, Martin Starr, James Franco and Jason Segel co-star as the kids, with Joe Flaherty ("SCTV") as the clueless dad. Gen X director Jake Kasdan, whose first film "Zero Effect" generated substantial buzz, staged the show's stylish debut episode. Judd Apatow ("The Larry Sanders Show") executive produces.<#$>The show moved to Mondays at 8 p.m. from its premiere slot of Saturday at 8 p.m. on January 10, 2000, after low ratings forced NBC to rethink its Saturday lineup.
