History:
After the original pilot went over like a lead balloon with FOX executives, Whedon did second version which put the series on the 2002 schedule and bumped James Cameron's "Dark Angel" out of the FOX lineup. Whedon ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Angel") is the creator, writer and executive producer of this new series. Tim Minear ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer," "Angel") executive produces.<#$>Low ratings led FOX to cancel "Firefly," but the show may find a home on a new network. The original pilot will air as the finale, which leaves three episodes unseen.
