Pow!!! Bang!!! Adam West was enigmatic and wealthy Bruce Wayne and also his spandex-clad alter-ego Batman in this camp classic. Burt Ward played orphaned Dick Grayson, who put on tights to become Robin, the Boy Wonder. Together, they fought crime, particularly a string of supervillains played by the likes of Burgess Meredith (The Penguin), Cesar Romero (The Joker), Vincent Price (Egghead), Julie Newmar (Catwoman), LeeAnn Meriwether (Catwoman), Eartha Kitt (Catwoman) and George Sanders (Mr. Freeze). Crash!!! The show was based on Bob Kane's classic comic intially ran two nights a week in multi-part stories divided by a cliffhanger. The series spawned a 1966 feature film. Batgirl (Yvonne Craig) was introduced in the third season to try to correct flagging ratings.
