Description
Set in the upscale city of Pine Valley, "All My Children" revolves around the intertwined relationships and secrets of several families. At the center of the drama is Erica Kane, whose dominating personality dictates much of what happens in Pine Valley. Agnes Nixon, having created and written several successful daytime dramas, was approached by Procter & Gamble to create a new soap. After writing a proposal and five scripts, P&G passed on it due to the fact that the daytime lineup was jam-packed. ABC expressed interest, and although Nixon was reluctant to turn over her material at first, "AMC" soon took off and has been a fixture on the network for more than three decades.
