30 Rock Cast & Crew

Based more-than-loosely on the behind-the-scenes shenanigans at "Saturday Night Live," "30 Rock" centers around young comedy writer Liz Lemon. She's currently "living the dream," working as the head writer for a live sketch-comedy show in New York City. Complications ensue when the network's new president orders Liz to hire mentally unstable movie star Tracy Jordan to join the cast, throwing neurotic leading lady (and best friend) Jenna Maroney into a tizzy. Can Liz juggle all the egos around her while still trying to chase her own dream? The series is executive-produced by Lorne Michaels, Tina Fey, JoAnn Alfano, Marci Klein and David Miner. Before the series premiered, Rachel Dratch's (series creator/star Tina Fey's former "SNL" cohort) role was diminished due to the introduction of an "ingenue" played by Jane Krakowski ("Ally McBeal").
