Description
Counter-terrorism agent Jack Bauer fights the bad guys of the world, one day at a time. With episodes unfolding in real time, "24" covers one day in the life of Bauer per season. Jack deals with assassination attempts, nuclear attacks, bioterrorism, torture, traitors, sleeper cells, multifarious bad guys and the alarming tendency for his romances to end badly -- very badly. Cartwright-wives-on-"Bonanza" badly. The producers cleaned house for the show's fourth season, letting most of the previous cast go (except star Kiefer Sutherland) and bringing in a new group of characters to interact with Bauer.<#$>For season five, with CTU disbanded, the setting shifts to Washington, D.C., where Jack Bauer faces trial for his actions in the pursuit of justice.
