Drew Carey

'The Price Is Right' host

The Good: One night Carey came home and his fiance, Nicole Jaracz, had strewn rose petals on the stairs leading to the bedroom. "And there were candles everywhere. I walked into the bedroom; she was there on the rose-petal-covered bed in a beautiful negligee, very sexy, absolutely beautiful. I thought, 'Nuts! Now what am I going to have to do to outdo her?'"

Stars' Best & Worst Valentine's Days

Dita Von Teese

Burlesque star

The Good: "I have to go back to being 16 years old. Gosh, it was something different then ... There's something fun about the old days. It's not about money or playing games or being afraid of commitment. It's just pure, innocent, young love. I'm trying to recapture that 'I'm 16 and I'm in love feeling.'"

Stars' Best & Worst Valentine's Days

Bob Newhart

The Bad: "My worst Valentine's Day is probably this year, if I don't remember to get a card. So thanks for reminding me."

Stars' Best & Worst Valentine's Days

Bob Harper

'The Biggest Loser' trainer

Stars' Best & Worst Valentine's Days

Kathy Griffin

'My Life on the D-List'

The Bad: "The worst is when you're alone and lonely and no one will give you a valentine. I've had a few of those -- the most pathetic times were when I had to buy my own valentines."

Stars' Best & Worst Valentine's Days

Emily Osment

'Hannah Montana'

The Bad: "When I was in seventh grade. I forgot it was Valentine's Day and I went to school dressed in all black, and everybody thought something was wrong with me. So, I borrowed a pink necklace from a friend to try and save the day."

Stars' Best & Worst Valentine's Days

Jim Belushi

'According to Jim'

Stars' Best & Worst Valentine's Days

Reba McEntire

'Reba'

The Good: "Narvel [Blackstock, her husband/manager] and I had just bought a place in Nashville. It had underbrush and a lot of thicket to be cleared out, and Narvel couldn't wait to get in there and start clearing. On Valentine's Day he got me this beautiful tennis bracelet -- and I got him a chainsaw. He's the romantic and I'm the practical one."

Stars' Best & Worst Valentine's Days

Ben Bailey

'Cash Cab'

The Bad: "The worst one I ever had was when my girlfriend broke up with me the night before Valentine's Day. I was in college and working at a warehouse driving a forklift, and I had to work the next day at like 7 AM. So I got dumped and then got stuck in the warehouse all day with one other guy. I remember sitting there thinking, 'This sucks!'"

Stars' Best & Worst Valentine's Days

Meat Loaf

'Rock & A Hard Place' game show

Stars' Best & Worst Valentine's Days

Michael Emerson

'Lost'

The Bad: "I'm a great procrastinator, and I remember a couple of desperate Valentine's Days where I hadn't gotten it together early enough and I'm trying to buy a gift and set up a dinner reservation on the day of, and you know that's really a hard thing to do at the last minute. So I have sweat blood and cursed myself a couple of times."

Stars' Best & Worst Valentine's Days

Roma Maffia

'Nip/Tuck'

The Good: "I used to have this boyfriend and we used to go to this really wonderful restaurant, which I can't remember the name of. We were like 22, 24 and we would sit there and order this Pouilly Fuisse bottle of wine and all this stuff like we were adults. When I look back on it, it was just really sweet."

Stars' Best & Worst Valentine's Days

Bryan Cranston

'Breaking Bad'

The Bad: "I was in college, and I really wanted to impress [a girl]. My stepfather was [a restaurant] manager; he told me a wine to order and what year. He brought [it out]; I tasted it and went, 'Um, this doesn't taste right.' He said, 'It's exactly what you ordered.' Then he looked at [it] and said, 'I'm so sorry' and pointed [out] that it was a year off. He gets a bottle with the correct year and pours it; I go, 'Oh, yes, that's right.' Elisabeth Moss

One Valentine's Day I got together with some girlfriends who were also single, and that might have been the best ever because it was truly with people I love."

Amanda Byram

Who needs a man? Dump your boyfriend and go out with your girlfriend!"
