On the Set of 'Scrubs'
Inside Look: 'Scrubs' is taped on location at the North Hollywood Medical Center, which was once fully operational. It provides the backdrop for the unpredictable cast of characters inside Sacred Heart, a fictional teaching hospital.

Inside Look: Said Sarah about playing Elliot: Sarah (on playing Eliot): I feel so lucky. It's been the best job I've ever had. The minute you think you have something down, the writers throw you a curveball so it never gets boring.
Inside Look: Before the director yells "action" -- a little hair and make-up for Aloma Wright, who plays the no-nonsense Nurse Laverne Roberts.
Inside Look: While taping the episode, the production staff watches playback monitors to get a better idea of how the action will appear on television.
Inside Look: Snapping the slate helps synchronize the recording of audio and video of the single-camera comedy, which recently got a highly coveted slot in NBC's Thursday night line-up. "NBC is doing great now on Thursday nights," said series creator Bill Lawrence. "I remember when I was a kid watching NBC, it used to be: great show, sh*t sandwich, great show, sh*t sandwich.
Inside Look: A stylist tends to Judy Reyes' tresses. Reyes plays Nurse Carla Espinosa, Turk's brassy love interest.
Inside Look: A technician secures a colored gel to the overhead light in order to get the right look and feel for the scene. It can take hours to prepare a set for what ends up being mere minutes of dialogue on TV.
Inside Look: "I called [our production studio] ABC up and said, 'Should I be writing a finale episode?' And they told me not to do it," said Bill Lawrence. "They think the show will be back for a seventh season on NBC. But if its not, theyll move it over to ABC."
Inside Look: Said Zach Braff about leaving the show after this season ends: "You know, its a once-in-a-lifetime thing to be on a show this good ... and its so rare that a show goes for seven years. It seems silly to walk away and not come back for one more year."
Inside Look: On the way out, a photo of Sacred Heart Hospital's caustic chief of medicine, Dr. Bob Kelso, hangs in its rightful place.
