    'The X-Files'

    Fiendish Fact: Fox "Spooky" Mulder has seen 'Plan 9 From Outer Space' 42 times. Now that's scary.



      'Tales From the Crypt'



      Terrifying Tale: The wisecracking Crypt Keeper introduces monsterpieces of terror in this gory and humorous horror anthology.

      Fiendish Fact: John Kassir, the voice of the Crypt Keeper, edged out Sinbad to win the comedy prize on 'Star Search.'



        'Millennium'



        Terrifying Tale: Former FBI agent Frank Black, who can look inside the mind of a killer, battles crime for the mysterious Millennium Group.
        Spooky Saying: "We must respect evil, and we must make evil respect us." -- The Old Man
        Fiendish Fact: In the opening title sequence, Millennium was spelled MillenniuM because the Roman numeral MM means 2000.



          'Kolchak: The Night Stalker'



          Terrifying Tale: Chicago newspaper reporter Carl Kolchak investigates the supernatural.
          Spooky Saying: "Captain Leo Winwood and I had a relationship that was long and bloody, like the Crusades, only without the chivalry." -- Carl Kolchak
          Fiendish Fact: 'Kolchak: The Night Stalker' premiered on Friday 13 Sept., 1974.



            'The Munsters'



            Terrifying Tale: A family of monsters live at 1313 Mockingbird Heights. Herman the Dad was Frankenstein's monster and his wife Lily was a vampire.

              'The Twilight Zone'



              Terrifying Tale: In this science fiction anthology, host Rod Serling takes us on a journey into "a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind."

                'The Simpsons: Treehouse of Horror'



                Terrifying Tale: In these yearly specials, the Simpsons battle aliens, zombies, the devil, a killer doll and Mr. Burns as a vampire.

                  Fiendish Fact: Charlie Brown dresses up as a ghost, but cuts too many holes in his costume, so he looks like a potato. Linus originally did this in the newspaper strip.

                    Terrifying Tale: Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson are plumbers by trade, but their real passion is paranormal research.

                      'Salem's Lot'



                      Terrifying Tale: Rob Lowe stars as writer Ben Mears in this TV movie based on a Stephen King novel about vampires terrorizing a small town.

                      Fiendish Fact: One of the dogs in this TV movie is named Cujo, which is a nod to another Stephen King work about a rabid dog.
