(Feb. 7) - Rosie O'Donnell's fans expect nothing but candid admissions whenever they submit questions to her in the Ask Ro forum of Rosie.com. But one fan might have been surprised by how much the former talk show host revealed in one answer.

On Wednesday, a poster named Kathy asked: So Rosie, Alcoholic or NOT? Just spit it out! Don’t go all Star Jones on us here. What led to you stopping the Beer? You’ll only help someone else. “you felt it was time”…WHY…inquiring minds…

O'Donnell answered Kathy directly in her pull-no-punches style:

cause i was drinking too much
cause i didnt want to anymore
cause it is hard to lose weight wen drinking
cause i can never have only one

Several other posters on her blog touch upon substance abuse.

One poster named Lisa writes: Hi Rosie, It seems so many people have drinking problems. I notice over the yrs I started drinking more. I am trying to stop but will not admitt to anyone. Life is tough/

Rosie's response? u just admitted it

And she pulls no punches talking about VH1's 'Celebrity Rehab' and its "star," cocaine and alcohol abuser Jeff Conaway ('Taxi,' 'Grease').

When asked by a fan what happened to Conaway, O'Donnell simply replies he is a mentally ill drug addict.
