(June 18) - Miley Cyrus is set to host Fox's "Teen Choice 2008" awards show, according to
TeenChoiceAwards.com.
"I took part in a photo shoot that was supposed to be 'artistic' and now, seeing the photographs and reading the story, I feel so embarrassed," Cyrus says of pictures that appear in the new issue of Vanity Fair.

Vanity Fair editors say "Miley's parents and/or minders were on the set all day. Since the photo was taken digitally, they saw it on the shoot and everyone thought it was a beautiful and natural portrait of Miley. In fact, when Bruce Handy interviewed Miley, he asked her about the photo and she was very cheerful about it and thought it was perfectly fine."

For someone who said "I never intended for any of this to happen," Cyrus seemed to be enjoying herself at the Vanity Fair photo shoot. See more photos on Egotastic.com.

"I was so honored and thrilled to work with (longtime Vanity Fair photographer) Annie [Leibovitz]," Cyrus tells PEOPLE. See more photos on Egotastic.com.

Just last week, photos of Cyrus flashing her bra and pulling up her shirt while draped across the lap of a male furthered the speculation that the singer-actress sensation may be more PG-13 or R than G-rated.

"The pictures of me on the Internet were silly, inappropriate shots." adds Cyrus about last week's photo scandal. The leaked pics didn't make a dent. Her 'Best of Both Worlds' CD was ranked near the top of the charts last week.

Photos of Cyrus in provocative poses first leaked near the end of January to gossip sites like TopSocialite.com.
The show, which airs Aug. 4 on Fox, will award its signature trophy - a surfboard - to winners in movie, TV and music categories ranging from "Choice Movie: Bromantic Comedy" to "Choice TV: Looking for Love."
Summer blockbuster hits "Iron Man" and "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" will face off in an epic battle for the honor of "Choice Movie: Action Adventure." But while "Iron Man" and "Indy 4" scored four nods each, the action behemoths were no match for the comedies "Juno" and "Forgetting Sarah Marshall," which scored an impressive five nominations apiece.
Meanwhile, the CW's freshman series "Gossip Girl" scored an astounding 11 nominations - including "Best TV: Drama" and multiple acting nods for easy-on-the-eyes cast members Blake Lively, Leighton Meester, and Chace Crawford - to dominate the TV nominees.
On the music side, Chris Brown led the pack with nine nominations, while Justin Timberlake - the all-time winningest Teen Choice icon with 21 victories since 1998 - will compete in three categories.
In addition to her emceeing duties, Cyrus is up for four awards: "Choice TV Actress: Comedy," "Choice TV: Comedy," "Choice Music: Single" and "Choice Music: Female Artist."
Winners will be selected from an online vote at TeenChoiceAwards.com.
