The pair tied the knot in 2002 and have no children. According E!, Smith has sought to avoid paying spousal support and is planning on changing her legal name back to Smith after switching to Erickson after the wedding. Smith's first marriage, to actor Christopher Grove, ended in a 1992 divorce.
Smith's role as overachieving Lisa Simpson on "The Simpsons" won her an Emmy in 1992.
Other TV roles include "Herman's Head" and a 17-episode stint on "Dharma Greg." She has appeared in over a dozen films, including "As Good As It Gets," "Toys" and "City Slickers."
