Jay Leno so does not owe these ppl any money. Common sense says you watch out for yourself. Most employers would not do what he is.

I dont see why any of the late night shows are running reruns, dont they see that its a comdey show, who needs a monologue anyway. I think what Ellen and Carson are doing is good. You cant rely on a staff of writers for jokes that are most of the time lame at best. You dont need writers to interview people on a talk show... so forget the monologue and lets get all the late night shows back in real time.
Jay is not a very nice person... I think most folks would agree.

AREYOU KIDDING? Who are these people? I've worked for companies where one trade or another went on strike, we never saw a dime! I guess what they say is true you just can't win with some people. JAY LENO doesn't owe you people anything be greatful you have or had a decent job with a good boss. I wonder how generous some of these staffers are to other people when it comes out of their pocket? STOP WHINING YOU INGRATES!

Leno is being put in a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" position here. If he supports the WGA, he's disloyal to his staff, and vice versa. Did he promise his staff lifetime employment? They sound like arrogant, self-pitying whiners to me. How many of them would sacrifice their own income to support him, if the tables were turned?

how quick you are to lay the blame a Jay Leno's feet....He didn't start the strike...it that the WGA. If I heard there was a strike and that shows would stop production to accomadate the strike, "I" would certainly be looking to cover all the bases and have a back-up plan ready.....It isn't Leno's job to suport anyone but his own family...no one from the show qualifies as family as far as I know....Therefore his offer to cover a couple weeks salary ("I thought he would pay us thru Christmas...what nerve") and continue if the strike continues was more than generous. After all the "poor mouth" he is getting from these people he shouldn't feel bad if they all go away....If ya don't like Leno then watch another show.....don't complain and curse about the man who tried to give some help

I am glad to say I was never a fan of Jay Leno, since he took over for the late Johnny Carson. Furthermore, I have never seen his show.

Jay is a big chinned douche and the cheapest prick in hollywood.

By the way, did you know that all 3....LETTERMAN, LENO and O'BRIEN are also members of the WGA?
It is just that they are caught in a Catch-22 situation as Host and contributing writers to their shows.
maine4me2 11:32:00 PM Dec 04 2007
It's about time Jay Leno stepped up to the plate. DAVID LETTERMAN was the first to jump in immediately saying all his employees will be paid which not only includes his Late Show but also that of CRAIG FERGURSONS which is produced by Worldwide Pants owned bvy LETTERMAN.
Conan O'Brien was the second to jump in and it is sad to see that Leno wanited so long considering his salary.
BUT I will give credit where credit is due and tip my hat off to him for stepping up to the plate and helping those employees out especially at this time of year.
