Jonas Brothers Getting a 'Camp' Sequel

LOS ANGELES (June 24) - After "Camp Rock's" big debut during the weekend, Disney Channel is wasting no time working on a sequel to the Jonas Brothers movie musical.

The network hopes to go into production on a sequel in late spring or summer 2009, pending a script that's in development as well as the cast members' busy schedules.

All of the principal cast -- including Joe, Kevin and Nick Jonas as well as Demi Lovato -- are expected to return. The Jonases and Lovato, who are touring together this summer, also are working on their respective Disney Channel series, "J.O.N.A.S." and "Welcome to Mollywood."

"Camp" debuted to 8.9 million total viewers Friday night, the cable network's second-most-watched original movie ever behind "High School Musical 2" (17.2 million) last year. A second airing Saturday night on ABC pulled in 3.6 million viewers, while a third airing Sunday on ABC Family averaged 3.7 million viewers, according to Nielsen.

Meanwhile, the movie's premiere in Canada became Family Channel's second-most-watched movie ever, behind "HSM 2," (848,000 total viewers vs. 1 million).

I totally fell in love with Joe watching this movie!!! he's goergeous!!! i cant wait for the sequel....i can now say i am a jonas junkie...i thought that'd never happen, and it didi love camp rock!!

I love camp rock! It totally rocks! I recorded it and i have seen it like 25 to 30 times! The Jonas brothers Are sooooo sooper dooper hot!!!! :D I luv camp rock and i cant wait till the sequel! I had a big PARTY for camp rock and it was a total sucess im putting all the vids on youtube so watch out!

The movie itself was great, along with the music. But some of the "acting" Demi did wasn't so great. The Jonas Brothers definitely added the extra punch to put it over the top. Hopefully in the sequel they will keep the same characters though, its just better with the original actors and actresses. And by the way, ALL of the JONAS BROTHERS are HOT!

the movie was ok! the only good thing about it was that joe nick and kevin were there. Demi is the WORST ACTRESS EVER! with her fake and unclassy smile. BTW........... did anyone notice that when she sang her mouth movements were off beat with the words??? just thought u should know............ the MUSIC WAS GREAT and happy but they definatly kill "mitch" in the next movie and put someon else in......... u know some one who can actually lip sing like idk........... a MONKEY
