Injury Cripples 'Dancing' Star de la Fuente

(April 29) - Cristian de la Fuente’s samba came to halt Monday night, and the Chilean soap star was sent to the hospital, after suffering a severe muscle cramp in his arm on the Dancing with the Stars dancefloor.

"It hurts," de la Fuente told cohost Samantha Harris backstage, holding an ice pack to his left forearm. "It hurts the arm and it hurts that I couldn’t do it, you know, it’s tough."

Still, he put on a strong showing. Seconds after hurting himself, the actor faced the judges, insisting "I’m fine" and clutched his arm in obvious pain before going to commercial break. During the dance he had tried to shake off the injury, but he pulled back from lifting his pro partner Cheryl Burke off the floor.

"When we were dancing I fell back into his arms and I heard something crack,” Burke told PEOPLE between tears after the show. "I am so worried. He is not a wuss. He tried to finish the dance."

"C'MON AOL IT WAS A PULLED MUSCLE"

No, you dimwit, it is a torn ligament. The MRI scan showed the hemorrhaging in the torn area of his LEFT arm. Surgery will correct the problem and he will have physical therapy and rehabilitation for months after the surgery. I think Christian is very brave and very much a REAL MAN to go on with the show. He winced several times last night during his dances, but continued and finished at the top of the leader board. I too was severely injured with broken bones, torn ligaments and muscles. My recovery took 6 years and I too was in a wheel chair. That doesn't in any way diminish Christian's injury and the pain it causes. Stop trashing him. He is a really classy man.

Christian de la Fuente is a total hunk. I love looking at him. Thank the Cosmic Design for truly gorgeous males like him. After being forced to look at slovenly, grossly obese American men who waddle around in tees and shorts or jeans with their monumental jelly bellies hanging out, it is an undiluted pleasure to ogle this drop dead handsome man Christian.

The show isn't cursed, injuries happen everyday in high level ballroom dancing and these are pushing themselves to the max. Just goes to show that it's not a sport for wussies.

C'MON AOL IT WAS A PULLED MUSCLE. There are a lot of actual crippled people in wheelchairs who can tell you what "crippled" means.
