The kid's a talent. What he did with the Sondheim number was the creative tour de force of a true artist.

Best group of Talent ever...Everyone deserved to be there, Not like the previous Seasons...unbelievable..some of them..especially Last Season...wow..just terrible...l was not going to Watch this time but Thank God, l did...just Fantastic Group...Never missed once...l was busy but l found Time to be there..Great Work...Till next Year...

I m a 33 yr old who loves to watch the show every week i watch and if i am unable i record it. i was aliitle upset to see that my favorite didn't win but david c was a great singer listen this was a contest snd not everyone can be a winner, but this time they both were, David A is going to do just great look at chris d and he didnt win 1st place either. David c won and that is it I just hope when David A makes his first cd he puts "love me tender" on it when he sang it it made me teary eyed. I hope they BOTH HAVE A BRIGHT AND WONDERFUL CAREERS WE ARE ALL JUST WAITING FOR THE MUSIC TO COME OUT SO WE CAN LISTEN TO THEM SING. GOOD LUCK TO THE BOTH OF YOU

I feel they are both very talented and even though David A. didn't win, I think he will still do very well after Idol -- I was pulling for David C. though. I like the fact that not only does he sing, but he plays an instrument as well. I enjoyed watching him w/ ZZ Top too !! That was cool.

DAVID A. HAS A BEAUTIFUL, DISTINCTIVE VOICE. DAVID C. SEEMS LIKE A GREAT GUY, BUT YOU WOULDN'T RECOGNIZE HIS VOICE FROM A 100 OTHER ROCKERS.

I didn't see anything in the news about his brother recently, so don't attribute his win to that. His brother was briefly mentioned weeks ago, when he was able to be in the audience once, and to explain Cook's high blood pressure that sent him to the hospital. They kept it very low key and he never used it to garner votes or sympathy. He won fair and square and on his talent and personality and stage presence, not out of sympathy.

I HAVE NEVER MISSED AN EPISODE OF AMERICAN IDOL SINCE IT STARTED. AND OF COURSE I ALWAYS HAVE MY PICK AS THE WINNER, BUT THIS YEAR I COULDN'T CHOOSE. tHIS YR. WAS THE BEST I THINK SINCE THE SHOW BEGAN.

What big news story about his brother? I've searched for it everywhere and am coming up with nothing? Has his cancer gotten worse? Both Davids have certainly had their own personal crosses to bear and can hold their heads up proudly for presenting themselves as nothing but fantastic to their public. Congratulations to both of them! And am saying special prayers for David Cook's brother, hope everyone will join me in doing that.

They both were great....but I think the big news story that went out about Cook's brother the day before the finals did help to sway things in his favor. Regardless they both are going to have record contracts and decent sales!
