(March 27) - Justin Chambers tells PEOPLE that a longtime sleep disorder led him to check in to UCLA's psych ward.

"It's an issue that I've had for a while," the Grey's Anatomy star tells PEOPLE exclusively in his first interview since the incident. "It's a biological sleep disorder. Your mind keeps racing, and your body is tired. It wants to go to sleep, but it can't." Read Full Story

Sleep disorders can be a sympyom of a very serious depressive disorder.

A sleep disorder is also a symptom of Depression. That could
explain the psychiatric hospitalization.

One night with me and he'll be exausted!!!

His sleeping disorder is most likely caused by O.C.D. Which causes people to worry constantly, especially if they are under stress. The more stress the more worry. Sounds simple, well for someone who suffers from O.C.D it can be living hell. The worst part about it is when a doc. puts him on meds. He will develop a bunch of side affects worst than not sleeping. If you don't believe me ask Elvis. Don't laugh... well maybe about the Elvis thing. Except, the Doctors can make matters much worst by trying to help will one antidepressant after another. Which don't get me wrong I am sure some people need medication, But O.C.D is highly misunderstood.

Delta, you did exactly the right thing, and its nothing to be ashamed of.
Been there, done that. So don't let anyone drag you down. You just need a good support system, sometimes that helps and sometimes it doesn't.
God brought me through it, Oh I still have bad times, but not severe. I still can't drive because I get panicky. And I hate it. My husband was great! and my church family.
God Bless you!

UCLA's NPI sucks and when I was there messed me up. They had lost their accreditation, but the insurance company I had still insisted that was the best hospital for me. I would never again go to NPI!

I wonder if the Mexicans will be upset when universal health care kicks in and everyone gets free health care? Not just them.

So he has a sleep disorder - who doesn't!
Why would he check himself into a Psych Ward?

jenkittyk 03:50:05 AM Mar 28 2008

Illegal immigrants do NOT deserve free health care .. i have several friends who are dying of cancer and their relatives are stuck with huge bills..... do NOT NOT NOT give health care to individuals who choose to come into this country illegally. Many people come and choose to do things the right way so don't give any credence to those who think they deserve something that they DO NOT! Thanks.
