The only type of songs David Archuleta can sing are ballads,if you get him out of that comfort zone he sounds like a chicken right about to lay an egg.

David Cook is a class act, all the way -- while on his trip home to the Kansas City area, he was scheduled to make an appearance at the Kansas City Royals game, where he threw out the first pitch of the game. He had also been asked to sing the National Anthem, which he agreed to, but when he found out that a local 5th or 6th grade school choir had originally been scheduled to do the National Anthem, David Cook graciously backed out, refusing to spoil the day for the grade school choir. David Cook took a back seat to make these kids' day special. He opted out and did "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the 7th inning stretch.

Also, for a local concert during his home visit, that was to be held at his high school alma mater, rather than allowing them to charge for tickets, he requested that donations be made to a cancer charity.

Class Act of the down-home variety!!!

Way to go, David Cook -- your hometown is definitely rooting you on, and will always be our American Idol.

Both Davids are terrific. Cook is more mature and obviously the better performer. Archuleta appears younger than 17 and his maturity as a performer is, at best, consistent with his age. He also suffers by comparison to last year's Idol, Jordan Sparks who, while only a few months older when she won, appeared to be older and much more mature. Cook will likely be the winner next Wednesday and a most worthy Idol he would be.! But 25 years from now Archuleta's incredibly high quality instrument will very likely have taken him to career heights that surpass even the great success that Cook seems lkely to achieve. And best of all for Archuleta, in 25 years when Archuleta will be 42 and Cook will be 50, Archuleta will look like he is only 30 while Cook will be wishing he looked younger than 50.

David Cook is too arrogant. He's an alright singer but he doesn't ever show humility or act grateful. He doesn't really deserve to win but probably will. Who knows though...

david cook is so so there r enough scremers in the music business now the 17 year old has a great voice and should win but no matter who wins they both will have a great future.

David A. is wonderful but really needs to grow up in order to handle all that's coing. David Cook is in his prime and can sing anything. It's a hard choice but just I'll go with Colok.

David Cook is the REAL winner....Archuleta still has some growing to do...and needs to some how get rid of Daddy Dearest, before he ruins Davids career. Cook is ready to become a star. Archuleta, i believe would fold under the pressure.
