What to Watch Tuesday, Jan. 6

Scrubs'Scrubs'
(9PM and 9:30PM, ABC) 8th season premiere
The quirky sitcom that never seemed to get any love from the Peacock network during its seven seasons on NBC has moved to ABC, where J.D., Turk. Dr. Cox and the gang are welcomed with back-to-back episodes.

That's not all that's changed, as the show, which had gotten bogged down with too much focus on matters outside the hospital, has returned to the scene of the doctors' funniest moments. There's also a new chief of staff -- played by guest star Courteney Cox -- whose cheeriness causes Dr. Cox to suspect she's not as nice as she appears to be.

No worries though ... Kelso's still hanging around Sacred Heart, and still causing grief for hapless Sacred Heart attorney Ted.

'Nip/Tuck'
(10PM, FX)
New episodes return as Sean deals with the aftermath of his dealings with crazy Colleen, Christian tries to help Liz through her breast cancer scare and Matt decides to follow in his dads' footsteps.

'The Biggest Loser: Couples'

(8PM, NBC) 7th season premiere
A pair of plus-size models and a grandma and grandpa couple are among the contestants this season, along with the heaviest wannabe 'Loser' ever, a 19-year-old man who's been told his life is in jeopardy if he doesn't shed some of his 454 pounds.

'Homeland Security USA'
(8PM, ABC) series premiere
Sure, homeland security officers protect us from would-be terrorists, but, as we see in tonight's premiere of this new reality series, they also do things like thwarting would-be drug runners who are trying to smuggle their goods in from Canada in baby diapers.

'Wreckreation Nation'

(10PM, Discovery) series premiere
'Last Comic Standing 3' runner-up Dave Mordal hosts cross-country road trip in which he sheds light on some unusual pastimes, like lawn mower racing in Ohio, alligator wrasslin' in Wyoming and chessboxing (it's exactly what it sounds like -- a hybrid sport of boxing and chess) in San Francisco.

'10 Items or Less'
(11PM, TBS) 3rd season premiere
Leslie's got his hands full at the Greens & Grains, as his staff gets hooked on a new sport -- frozen turkey bowling -- and he meets the nasty new manager (Kim Coles) of the rival SuperValuMart, a woman who's going to have him missing his old nemesis Amy Anderson.

'The Bad Girls Club'

(10PM, Oxygen)
It's the showdown we've been waiting for: Tiffany gets so fed up with Kayla's shenanigans that the two divas throw down.

'Dirty Jobs'
(9PM, Discovery) 5th season premiere
If there's nothing you like more than a good bologna sammich, you might want to skip this episode, in which Mike finds out exactly how the deli meat is made.

Also on tonight:
- '90210' (8PM, The CW)
- 'The Mentalist' (9PM, CBS)
- 'Vice Squad' (9PM, MyNetworkTV) series premiere

What's on tomorrow: 'Damages,' 'Real World: Brooklyn' premieres and more
