'The Simpsons' Best Episodes: No. 15 - 11

15. 'Bart Gets an F'
Original Air Date: Oct. 11, 1990
The highest rated episode in the show's history (33 million viewers) opened season two and showed Bart in a panic as his tomfoolery left him in jeopardy of failing the fourth grade. When he actually applied himself, he still came up short, but Mrs. Krabappel wisely acknowledged his effort with a D-.
14. 'A Fish Called Selma'
Original Air Date: March 24, 1996The show's take on Hollywood marriages of convenience matched actor Troy McClure with Selma. Comeback-minded McClure just needed to keep his "romantic abnormality" (a fish fetish) on the DL, so the marriage didn't last. But don't feel too bad for Selma; it was her third of five weddings. So far.
13. 'Behind the Laughter'
Original Air Date: May 21, 2000The uber-meta 'Behind the Music' parody included narrator Jim Forbes, and had Bart in rehab, Homer addicted to painkillers and the IRS hot on the family's trail. The celeb family split up during a meltdown at the Iowa State Fair, and only a well-meaning Willie Nelson could reunite the bitter bunch.
12. 'Worst Episode Ever'
Original Air Date: Feb. 4, 2001Comic Book Guy's worst episode ever? A heart attack forced him to put Bart and Milhouse in charge of The Android's Dungeon in his convalescing absence. The boys made a mint exploiting a stash of illegal videos, which came back to bite CBG just as he'd finally made a friend in Mrs. Skinner.
11. 'Three Men and a Comic Book'
Original Air Date: May 9, 1991Bart, Milhouse and Martin fought over a comic they pooled their cash to buy. The lesson learned? Gleefully, none. Bart: "We worked so hard, and now it's all gone. We ended up with nothing because the three of us can't share." Milhouse: "What's your point?" Bart: "Nothing. Just kind of ticks me off."
