'The Simpsons' Best Episodes Ever
By Kimberly PottsLet's be honest: The worst episode of 'The Simpsons' is still more chuckle-inducing than the best episode of a lot of other TV comedies, with even the rare clunker offering up more pop culture references than you can count. But we're all about the Best. Episodes. Ever. here, as we count down the 25 best installments for spoofs, gags and giggles.

25. 'My Fair Laddy'
Original Air Date: Feb. 26, 2006
Lisa's Henry Huggins-like extreme makeover of Groundskeeper Willie propelled one of many great episodes in which a secondary Springfieldian stole the show. Lisa's sociological experiment netted a science fair win, but Willie, longing for his life in the shack, ultimately gave up his gentlemanly ways.
24. 'Simpson and Delilah'
Original Air Date: Oct. 18, 1990Harvey Fierstein as Homer's assistant Karl and a smooch between the two were the highlights of this gem, in which Homer impressed Mr. Burns as a "young go-getter" after lying to get hair-growth tonic. Homer's real reward was a serenade from Marge after the tonic, and his 'do, was hair today, gone tomorrow.
23. 'New Kid on the Block'
Original Air Date: Nov. 12, 1992The first episode written by Conan O'Brien was all about the Simpson boys. Bart busily tried to woo new neighbor Laura away from Jimbo, even though it meant taking a bath, while Homer got his legal muscle, Lionel Hutz, to make a seafood restaurant live up to its all-you-can-eat advertisement.
22. 'Lisa's Rival'
Original Air Date: Sept. 11, 1994The best Lisa episode sent the Simpsons' middle sib into a tailspin when her reign as the resident brainiac was challenged by equally smart and talented new kid Allison (Winona Ryder). A jealous Lisa even wreaked havoc on "Diorama-rama," which led to Ralph's classic "I bent my Wookiee" line.
21. 'Treehouse of Horror V'
Original Air Date: Oct. 30, 1994Horror indeed in this, the best of the annual Halloween installments: Homer was denied beer and TV in 'The Shinning,' and then hurdled through space via his time traveling toaster in 'Time and Punishment.' And for the episode's ick factor: Sloppy Jimbos were dished up in 'Nightmare Cafeteria.'
