Like Father, Like Son: After Nick's father, Dutch, dies in a mysterious plane crash, the younger George takes over his dad's old job -- personal lawyer and glorified babysitter for the wacky Darling clan. He starts to suspect the Darling patriarch, Tripp, of being involved in Dutch's death. As they say, keep your enemies closer.

Have A Nice Tripp: The main reason for Nick's suspicions? For 40 years, Dutch carried on a clandestine affair with Tripp's wife, Letitia. Their romance went so far that one of the Darling kids turns out to be Nick's half-sibling.

Simon Says: Another complicating factor -- enigmatic billionaire Simon Elder, who holds a longstanding grudge against Tripp. His main goal seems to be finding ways to turn various Darlings against one another, beginning with politician Patrick, then moving on to spoiled Karen.

She's A Lady: Patrick and Karen have romantic woes of their own; Pat's having an affair with transgendered Carmelita, which threatens to derail his senate campaign, while Karen's still in love with Nick (the two dated when they were teens). Nick's wife, Lisa, isn't too thrilled about that.

    ABC

Father Figure: When Nick's not pulling the youngest Darlings, twins Jeremy and Juliet, out of trouble, he's contending with his nemesis, the Rev. Brian Darling. But after learning he has a son and learning a big secret about his family, Brian has a crisis of conscience -- and quits the church.
