(Dec. 14) - Amy Poehler choked up a bit while giving her goodbyes to "Saturday Night Live" after eight seasons of laughs, ending a memorable run that was thought to have been over two months ago.
Poehler had told interviewers early in the Fall that she wouldn't be returning to the sketch show following the birth of her son Archie, but the actress surprised when she emerged during last week's episode to take her place at the Weekend Update desk. This week, she took a moment to address the camera and say farewell for good.
"I just wanted to thank everybody, this is my last show. It has been an amazing experience to be here. Being able to do over a 140 shows with my friends and my family has been a dream come true and from the bottom of my heart ..." at which point she was interrupted by Fred Armisen playing New York's blind governor, David Patterson. Hilarity ensues, watch above video.
The actress is moving on to star in a new show for NBC. Archie's dad is comedic actor Will Arnett. Will you miss Amy on "SNL"? Sound off below.
