Lost Actors on Other Fall Shows

'Lost' Actors' New Jobs

You know the deal with 'Lost' ... because of the show's time-travelling aspects, you can't ever be sure if you've really seen the last of any character, even if said character appears to be dead.

The same is true of 'Lost' actors. Though many a 'Lost' star has come and gone on the show, several of them are popping up elsewhere in prime time this season. Here's our rundown of where you can find everyone from Juliet to Boone to Jack's cheatin' ex. -- By Kimberly Potts
Dominic Monaghan

On 'Lost': He was Charlie Pace, a former rock star -- along with his brother Liam, in the band Driveshaft -- and struggling heroin addict who fell in love with fellow Oceanic crash victim Claire. Charlie was very protective of Claire and her baby, Aaron, and ultimately saved Desmond and other island dwellers by sacrificing himself in season 3.

Up Next: He doesn't pop up until after the season premiere, but the 'Lord of the Rings' actor plays Simon in the ABC drama 'FlashForward.' Who is Simon? Good question, but what we do know about the mysterious character from a brief ABC promo clip: He appears to be partnered with Jack Davenport's Simcoe.

Sonya Walger

On 'Lost': She's Penny, girlfriend of Desmond and daughter of rich dude Charles Widmore, and half-sister of Daniel Faraday. When Desmond leaves the island, he and Penny finally marry and have a child, whom they name Charlie in homage to the guy who saved Desmond's life.

Up Next: She joins fellow 'Lost'-ie Monaghan on 'FlashForward,' where she plays Olivia, a trauma surgeon married to Joseph Fiennes' Mark.

Elizabeth Mitchell

On 'Lost': She was (is? -- we're still not sure whether she survived that season 5 finale explosion) Juliet, the caring doc who first attracted Jack's attention, but who then fell into a relationship with Sawyer after Jack and Kate left the island.

Up Next: She stars as Erica in the ABC remake of the sci-fi series 'V.' Erica is a Homeland Security agent who figures out what the aliens are really up to (you know, infiltrating and plotting to eventually take control of Earth) and leads the resistance against them.

Ian Somerhalder

On 'Lost': He was Boone, the rich kid who was in love with his stepsister, and fellow Oceanic crash survivor Shannon. Boone died in season 1 after suffering injuries when an abandoned plane he was investigating fell, making him the first of many major 'Lost' character deaths.

Up Next: He's vampire bro Damon Salvatore on the CW's series adaptation of 'The Vampire Diaries' books. Damon and his bro Stefan (Paul Wesley) are rivals for the affection of non-vamp Elena (Nina Dobrev), and one of the brothers isn't such a nice guy. Sorry Boone fans ... it's Damon who's the big nasty -- or maybe that's a good thing, if you like the bad boys.

Katey Sagal

On 'Lost': She was Helen Norwood, John Locke's onetime girlfriend, and the woman he intended to marry. Their relationship was doomed because of Locke's obsession with his father, and when John made his brief return from the island, he found out that Helen had died of a brain aneurysm.

Up Next: Sagal's currently starring in the second season of FX's hit drama 'Sons of Anarchy,' as motorcycle mama Gemma, and recording the voice of Leela for Comedy Central's new 'Futurama' episodes.

Julie Bowen

On 'Lost': She's Sarah Shephard, the cheating ex-wife of Dr. Jack, who, when last we saw her, was pregnant.

Up Next: Bowen stars in the new ABC comedy 'Modern Family,' where she plays Claire, an uptight mom -- and formerly rebellious teen -- who's determined not to let her kids make the same mistakes she made when she was younger.

And don't worry, you'll also likely be seeing some of these and other former 'Lost'-ies on the show's sixth and final season next year. Among those reportedly returning are Mitchell, Monaghan, Jeremy Davies (Daniel Faraday), Maggie Grace (Shannon Rutherford) and Emilie de Ravin (Claire).
