Fresh Faces - Breakout Stars of Fall TV

    "Where have I seen that actor before?" You'll be saying that a lot this fall, as plenty of new, but sorta familiar faces pepper primetime.     Show: 'Vampire Diaries' (The CW)
    Plays: Stefan Salvatore, the hunky young vampire who falls in love with non-vamp Elena.
    Where You've Seen Him: He starred in ABC Family's 'Fallen' miniseries, was drug-dealing Tommy on 'Everwood' and played a soldier on 'Army Wives.'

    Show: 'Mercy' (NBC)
    Plays: Veronica Flanagan, a nurse who's returning to the States after a tour in Iraq.
    Where You've Seen Her: Her only major role to date was opposite Meryl Streep in the 2007 big-screen drama 'Dark Matter.'

    Show: 'Community' (NBC)
    Plays: Abed, a pop-culture junkie who's a member of fast-talkin' Jeff's study group at Greendale Community College.
    Where You've Seen Him: Guest gigs on 'Gilmore Girls,' 'Greek,' 'The West Wing' and star of the direct-to-DVD movie sequel 'Road Trip: Beer Pong.'

    Show: 'Glee' (Fox)
    Plays: Mercedes Jones, the fabulously attired diva who does not see herself as anybody's backup singer.
    Where You've Seen Her: She had a role in 'Glee' creator Ryan Murphy's failed comedy pilot 'St. Sass,' but 'Glee' is her first major role.

    Show: 'Eastwick' (ABC)
    Plays: Darryl Van Horne, the role played by Jack Nicholson in the 'Eastwick' movie.
    Where You've Seen Him: The Canadian actor starred as Constable Benton Fraser in the dramedy 'Due South,' on which he served as exec producer.

    Stephanie Jacobsen
    Show: 'Melrose Place' (The CW)
    Plays: Lauren Yung, a medical student who trades sex for tuition money.
    Where You've Seen Her: She played Jesse, Derek's girlfriend on 'The Sarah Connor Chronicles,' and had roles on 'Farscape' and 'Battlestar Galactica: Razor.'

    Show: 'Stargate Universe' (SyFy)
    Plays: Eli Wallace, a twentysomething slacker and math genius with a wicked sense of humor.
    Where You've Seen Him: He was MODE magazine photographer Cliff St. Paul, love interest of Marc, on 'Ugly Betty' and a tech expert vampire on CBS' 'Moonlight.'

    Show: 'The Good Wife' (CBS)
    Plays: Kalinda, a tough investigator who befriends Julianna Margulies' attorney character when she returns to the workforce.
    Where You've Seen Her: She co-starred in movies like 'The Constant Gardener,' 'A Mighty Heart' and 'Bend It Like Beckham.'

    Show: 'Three Rivers' (CBS)
    Plays: Dr. David Lee, a surgical resident who also likes to operate with the ladies.
