Attacks on CTU where organized by Joseph Wald, but where carried out with the help of an informant. Just before killing himself in a metal safehouse he?s barricaded himself in, Joseph Wald reveals a photo of the informant. Jack learns the informant was former CTU agent Nina Meyers and has her brought from prison to CTU for interrogation.

President Palmer?s ex-wife, Sherry, returns with information about a conspiracy against Palmer. She discloses that her informant is a staff member in the Department of Defense. She also informs Palmer that there is an alliance in his cabinet against the President. He also discovers that Stanton and Marie are traitors and Stanton provides the location of the bomb.

Jack runs into six Coral Snake members, the terrorists associated with bringing down the plane Jack was on earlier.

Tony Almeida is appointed to be the new Director of CTU by George Mason, who is dying of radiation poisoning. Stanton and Marie reveal the location of the nuclear bomb and George volunteers to fly the plane to detonate the nuclear bomb over the desert since it is unlikely that he will live another day anyway.

'24' Season Two Highlights

A recording of three Middle Eastern officials and a terrorist is found and President Palmer is reluctant to take action until the tapes are proven genuine. Mike Novick uses section 4 of the 25th Amendment to remove President Palmer from office. Michelle and Tony find that American business men forged the tapes to ignite a war.

'24' Season Two Highlights

After being reinstated, President Palmer delivers a speech to reassure the public of their safety. Ending with ?God Bless America,? the President moves through the crowd, shaking hands with Mandy. He collapses while Mandy removes a piece of plastic from her hand and confirms to an unidentified listener that the job is done.
