Emmys 2008 Best and Worst Dressed

    Best: Hello, Sunshine!

Mariska Hargitay is a vision in this canary yellow, one-shouldered Carolina Herrera gown. It's nice to see that the Emmy nominee can lighten up when she's not solving crimes on 'SVU.'

    Worst: Baby on Board?

'Desperate Housewives' star Eva Longoria continues to deny those pesky baby rumors, but dresses like this tiered fringe Marchesa number, complete with an overwhelming chest bow, don't help quiet the buzz.

    Best: Bright Idea

Does Julia Louis-Dreyfus ever age? The Emmy-nominated 'Old Christine' star looks incredibly young and fabulously curvy in a bright coral Narciso Rodriguez dress and Christian Louboutin heels.

    Worst: Boa Not Included

Did Elizabeth Mitchell get 'Lost' on her way to a Cher concert? The primetime beauty takes an over-the-top sparkly misstep in a feather-print Fiorucci gown. Guess months on a deserted island doesn't help your fashion sense.

    Best: Work It

America's male TV sweetheart, John Krasinski, can make any look work, but we're particularly loving his Prada suit at the Primetime Emmys. Much nicer than his normal 'Office' attire.

    Worst: Shoulder the Burden

Vanessa Williams dazzles in a black and white Kevan Hall gown, but the stunning shape hits a little speed bump with that oddly placed rhinestone strap. We're not calling it 'Ugly' ... we just wish she'd left the look strapless.

    Best: Making a Splash

Jenna Fischer dives into the fashion deep end in this diaphanous, mermaid-inspired strapless Gustavo Cadile confection. The cool shades of blue and green make the 'Office' star's style feel effortless.

    Worst: Dark Night

We love Emmy-nominated 'Pushing Daisies' star Kristin Chenoweth, but her bubbly personality gets lost in this black Armani strapless dress. We know you love color, Kristin -- next time, go for it!

    Best: Lace Up

Emmy-nominated 'Grey's Anatomy' star Sandra Oh layers on the lace in a long -- and very lengthening -- black Oscar de la Renta gown. It's her fourth year to be nominated ... will those Bulgari jewels be a good luck charm?

    Worst: Running Joke

Did Alan Cumming know he was going to the Emmys? The Brit looks like he got lost on the way to the stables in khaki pants, a maroon plaid jacket over a lime green shirt and -- horror upon horrors! -- sneakers.
