Never Won an Emmy

It's a fact that awards aren't necessarily the best indicator of quality. That doesn't make it any less shocking that Angela Lansbury has been nominated 18 times but never won an Emmy ... but at least it might console fan faves (and Emmy losers) Lauren Graham and Hugh Laurie. Check out 34 actors who've only dreamed of clutching that golden statuette.

    Sandra Oh
    Nominations: 4

After back-to-back (to-back!) Emmy losses for her nominated role as Cristina Yang on 'Grey's Anatomy,' Oh might finally have a shot -- seriously. Two-time victor Blythe Danner's show 'Huff' is long gone and, well, so is Oh's 'Grey's' co-star (and last year's champ) Katherine Heigl.

    Hugh Laurie
    Nominations: 3

Laurie was off to a good start when he was nominated for the first season of 'House.' But the next year, he was snubbed -- while 'House' was nominated for Best Drama Series. He's been nominated twice since, including for last season. Will voters make up for past mistakes and kick him off this list? We'll know when we watch the show.

    Jennifer Garner
    Nominations: 4

In five seasons, Jennifer Garner kicked enough butt on 'Alias' to garner four Emmy nominations, a Golden Globe, and a SAG award. Although she never won an Emmy, she left 'Alias' without any major career bruises. She already had the hit movie '13 Going on 30' under her belt, and just last year she co-starred in the Oscar-winning 'Juno.'

    Jane Kaczmarek
    Nominations: 7

Kaczmarek ended her run on 'Malcolm in the Middle' as a bridesmaid: She was nominated seven consecutive times, but failed to win a single Emmy. Her last chance was in 2006, when she was the only returning nominee; but it was out with the old and in with the new when Julia Louis-Dreyfus won for 'The New Adventures of Old Christine.'

    Lauren Graham
    Nominations: 0

We loved her for seven years (2000-'07) on 'Gilmore Girls,' but apparently the Academy of TV Arts and Sciences didn't share our affection. Poor Lorelai -- but at least she saw Rory earn her Ivy League degree and ended up with the right guy ... and Graham did score a Golden Globe nod in '02 and People's Choice nom in '05.

    Calista Flockhart
    Nominations: 3

Flockhart's performance as the miniskirt-wearing lawyer quickly earned her a Golden Globe, a SAG and a spot on the cover of Time Magazine. But that wasn't enough for Emmy voters. Even when 'Ally McBeal' won Best Comedy Series in 1999, Flockhart lost the Emmy to Helen Hunt for the second year in a row. We object!

    George Clooney
    Nominations: 2

Clooney's star was born the moment 'ER' premiered in 1994. He won legions of fans -- and two Emmy nominations -- playing hunky doc Doug Ross. Never rewarding Clooney was the Emmys loss: Nearly a decade later, he's won two Golden Globes and an Oscar.

    Courteney Cox
    Nominations: 0

The Emmys haven't been friendly to Cox. She was snubbed for all 10 seasons she was Monica Gellar on 'Friends.' That didn't stop voters from becoming BFFs with the rest of the cast: Jennifer Aniston and Lisa Kudrow both won Emmys; Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer all earned at least one nom.

    David Duchovny
    Nominations: 4

He was only nominated twice for his nine-year run on 'The X-Files' ('93-'02); his other two noms were for guest spots -- on 'The Larry Sanders Show' and 'Life With Bonnie.' If we didn't know better, we'd say Agent Mulder was the victim of some kind of conspiracy.

Dexter and Hous were robbed, by far the best shows on TV. Hugh Laurie is perfect, wha are these people thinking? and Dexter, the show is sheer brilliance in writing

I THINK THE EMMYS ARE BASED ON POPULARITY AND NOT TALENT/PERFORMANCES. LOOK AT THE CELEBRITYS THAT WERE NEVER NOMINATED. WOW ! DOES LOOKING AT THE "LEFTOUT" GROUP TELL YOU ANYTHING ? I DON'******* THE EMMYS ANYMORE BECAUSE OF THAT., BUT I'M NOT THAT IMPORTANT, SO "WHO CARES"
