Is the flu the next 'Dancing With the Stars' curse?Just days after news broke that season 8's Melissa Rycroft has the swine flu, Derek Hough tweeted that he, too, is sick.
"At the docs for 3 hrs today ... Had a temprature of 104 ... Had an IV in my arm for 2hrs ... Maks is steppin up for me helpin jo," he wrote on Thursday.
Now, ABC has confirmed the story. According to E!, Maksim Chmerkovskiy -- who was eliminated two weeks ago with partner Debi Mazar -- will perform all three routines with Hough's current partner, model Joanna Krupa, when 'Dancing' airs tonight at 8PM on ABC.
Perhaps Derek's shirtless Lambada routine had something to do with his temperature?

lythgoe, yup. PIGS PIGS PIGS WHINING WITH DISAPPROVAL! SPOILED PIGS!! OINK!
Well,
This is not ballroom dancing
It is more like Circus Dancing
Too many tricks, hence all the injuiries
and even if it were dancing, you cant expect these people to dance these hard steps and tricks
with so little training,
This is why many times the olympic and sports people do much better then the average singer or actor, they have the training background to help them thru the rigorous traing period.
That being said, I, a former professional competitor find it hard to believe that they call this dancing.
Trick, sluty costumes and a lot of drama is more the calling of this show
I dont know who likes more drama, the dancers or the judges
Most average people cant relate to this type of dancing and if you want to see it go to the circus.
Another reality show that took something lovely and made it trash like
What a shame, show me some daning, feather, roll, cuban motion, etc etc etc, not trick, trick,
trick, I bet your injuiries would disappear
