Toni Braxton's 'Dancing' finale no-show was no snub.According to the Daily News, Braxton missed the season 7 finale because of a benign tumor discovered on her breast.
The tumor, originally found by her doctor in August, was removed following Braxton's elimination when she realized it was "definitely still there and bigger." Braxton subsequently took time to recover, which caused her to miss out on the finale.
Braxton's cancer scare tops a long list of injuries and ailments from Season Seven. Earlier in the season, Julianne Hough was diagnosed with endometriosis, and underwent surgery, while Misty May-Treanor ruptured her achilles heel tendon during practice, forcing her to withdraw from the competition.
But Braxton calls her elimination a "blessing in disguise," since both sides of her family have a history of breast cancer. "I was very fortunate," she adds.
