Brooke Burke can hold on to the celebrity dancing crown -- but not for long. ABC has announced a premiere date for the next season of the 'Dancing With the Stars.' Zap2it.com reports that season 8 will premiere on March 9 and just like this past season, the performance shows will run two hours for the first three weeks, then cut down to 90 minutes on March 30.
The results show will stay in its usual 9PM Tuesday spot.
So who will contend for dance hall glory? A few intriguing names have surfaced already. Among them are 'Project Runway' supermodel/host Heidi Klum and 'Jackass' bad boy Steve-O.

Charisma Carpenter would be awesome...I can't get enough of her. I watch all of her shows on fox and lifetime. Please give me more.

i would like to see kenny chenesy dance. and i dont think stevie wonder would b a good idea. i like his songs but he would not know what was going on if he was to b on dwts. and i would also like to see roseanne dance too. she could b a hoot.

I think they should have John Travolta on the show.
I thought Brooke Burke did beautifully but since I found out she had been a Playboy centerfold, I don't respect her anymore. How trashy!
Brooke was an awesome dancer, and Patty better grow up- she doesn't know what her future holds-I've learned the hard way not to judge other people-Patti-your future daughter could end up in Playboy, and you wouldn't like people judging her-live and let live-her dancing was wonderful-that's all we should concern ourselves with, period.
Why would Dancin With The Stars want to go up against American Idol. They need to start their show later. That way we can enjoy both.
