I agree with Shepherd's view on Avatar. The entire movie was riddled with subtle(sometimes not so subtle) political messages. As a parent, what bothers me the most, is the condoning of the agendas just because the graphics are amazing. Undoubtedly, this movie is an eye-catching epic, but there were numerous conversations running rampant in our home after this movie. While we cannot disagree Cameron has a gift for storytelling, we must hold our values with our own children and explain that not all miltary is terrible and not all expansion has to come at the expense of human lives and property.

Sherri,,, oh my God! You said Lady Gag me has an incredile or amazing singing voice! you have got to be joking!!!! If you really think that then you know nothing about real talent.

I would like to say that I agree with Sheri that the movie "New Moon" sends the wrong movie to young girls. The character of Bella went into depression after the character Edward left her and then commited dangerous acts because it was "the only way to see him". Unfortunetly, there have always been young girls who will do foolish things to get a boys attention after he leaves her. This movie may only encourage that behavior in girls who may be prone to such behavior. Yes, in the movie the boyfriend is a vampire...I know, Iknow...but that doesn't mean some young girl isn't going to compare her "romance" to that of Bella and Edward in an attempt to justify it in her confused, teenaged mind. Also, Whoopi, although I think you're great, I have to say that we cannot take for granted that everyone who is seeing the movie has read the book.

Hi Sherri , Igive ms Hassalback credit she has Christian views all the time. yourviews are Christian sometimes and if its about the Obama groupand for you to say you would not allow George Bush teach your son was crazy remark..it was a shame the way all of you treatedthe young lady who was on the show today. If she did take the pictures when she was 17 , how many of us did things at the age , Whoopi has changed in the last few years ,if she were like she once was I wouldn"t look at the view. Hi Sherri, My son was a 31 weeker. He had a small stroke when he was in the hospital. Yes he had special needs issues since he was born. Fairfax County, VA has a wonderful special needs program. His pre-school sent home a wonderful library book to help with monsters called " There's An Alligator Under My Bed." It was at the right time. My son did not have nightmares. I bought a copy of the book. We read it so often, that he remembered every word. He also had a night light.

JMbowe -- I'm not sure from your comment wether or not you are pro JW's or not . I know this is not specifically about Sherri , though I would be curious about your thoughts. I'm technically a JW but am struggling !! I'd be curious why someone like Sherri was a Witness & now isn't , like what changed her mind & was it hard to leave her friends behind when she left ?? When viewing and commenting on the black barbie dolls, Sherrie made a statement that since the dolls had long thick hair, they must have weaves. This is the wrong message to send. Every black woman nor every little black girl wears a weave. Many youngsters in my neighborhood have naturally long or thick pigtails, ponytails, or straight loose hair. Please do not try to make up stereotypes. Oh yes, Barbara should learn that black women do not want to look white in sporting their hair styles. The reverse might be true when it comes to tans.

I just finished watching Sherris new sitcom. Great SHOW...Congratulations Sherri...I think you have a winner! You can consider me a regular watcher......
