BIOGRAPHY

Born: 5/22/1972

The daughter of screen legend Clint Eastwood, actress Alison Eastwood has made a name for herself on her own terms. Born to father Clint and swimsuit model Maggie Johnson in May of 1972, young Eastwood spent her youth in Carmel, CA, before relocating to Santa Barbara at age 18 to study acting. Her stunning beauty soon lead to work as a model, and by age 22 Eastwood had graced the elusive catwalks of Paris and made the move to Los Angeles. Eastwood made her film debut opposite her father in the 1984 thriller Tightrope, and her theater debut in the Coast Playhouse production of Woman in Control. Following appearances in father Clint's Absolute Power and Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil (both 1997) Alison began to branch out on her own in film, and roles in Black and White (1998) and Breakfast of Champions (1999) began to reveal a developing dramatic talent. Alternating between leading roles and background performances during the millennial crossover, Eastwood could be seen in such low-budget efforts as Just a Little Harmless Sex (1999) and If You Only Knew (2000). After drawing the attention of viewers as a pool-shark's girlfriend in Poolhall Junkies, Eastwood would continue to appear in such films as How to Go on a Date in Queens (2002) and The Storyteller (2003). 2003 also found Eastwood gaining increasing exposure by baring it all for the February issue of Playboy. - Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
