Helio Castroneves

Brazilian Helio Castroneves took a most circuitous and unlikely route to television superstardom. A multiple Indy 500 Grand Prix winner, Castroneves invented that contest's tradition of the winner climbing over the fence. His success on the track prompted ABC to invite him to participate in the fifth season of its blockbuster competitive reality series Dancing with the Stars, opposite partner Julianne Hough. The pair were a smashing success and ended up winning the competition that season.
