Biography: Chris Sligh
With a dry sense of humor, a heavy build, and a large "white man's afro" adorning his head, Chris Sligh seemed far from the archetypal pop star when he auditioned for the 2007 season of American Idol in Birmingham, AL. The 28-year-old marketing consultant impressed the judges, however, with his performance of Seal's "Kiss From a Rose," as did his characteristic wit when he responded to queries about his goals by saying he'd like to "make David Hasselhoff cry." After making it to Hollywood, Chris' sense of humor and personality were consistent factors in his fairing with the judges and audience, even inspiring an awkward rebuttal from Ryan Seacrest when he quipped that his male competition on the show was "pretty." ~ Cammila Albertson, All Movie Guide
