Brian Austin Green

Biography: Brian Austin Green

Born in 1973, Los Angeles native Brian Austin Green is best known for his role as David Silver in the '90s pop-culture phenomenon, Beverly Hills 90210; however, Green had been appearing on the small-screen long before he made a name for himself as Donna Martin's (Tori Spelling) lucky boyfriend. By the age of 11, when he appeared in a film produced by a student of the University of Southern California, Green knew he wanted a career in the arts, and by 1989, he was well on his way to doing just that, having made appearances on Knots Landing, Baywatch, The New Leave It to Beaver, and Highway to Heaven. In 1990, the same year as the successful launch of 90210, Green could also be seen in a starring role in James Slocum's An American Summer. The actor would increase his big-screen appearances throughout the mid-'90s and go on to appear in Joey Travolta's erotic thriller The Laws of Deception in 1998, and 2002's Purgatory Flats. Before long, Green agreed to direct and star in Fish Without a Bicycle (2004), a romantic comedy for the twentysomething set. During the same period, he could be seen playing the controversial best friend of a young boxer in Cock & Bull Story. ~ Tracie Cooper, All Movie Guide
