Reality Shows TV Stars Want to Tackle
They may already be famous, but many TV actors still have a dream to which most civilians can relate: to appear on a reality show. See who aspires to endurance tests like 'Survivor' or cutthroat talent competitions like 'Dancing With the Stars' or even the matchmaking 'The Bachelorette.' It's all good as long as the show stars are hoping to appear on isn't 'Cops.' -- By Marilyn Beck, Stacy Jenel Smith, Stephanie DuBois and Emily Feimster
<Kyra Sedgwick
'The Closer'
I don't like reality shows, do I have to lie? How about something like 'The World Peace Reality Show,' where everyone goes around and tries to create peace in different countries?
<Antonio Sabato, Jr.
'Celebrity Circus'
Probably 'Dancing With the Stars' to learn how to dance. I've studied on my own and have some rhythm, but I would love to learn how to dance really well. They producers actually came to me about being on the show, but I ended up picking 'Celebrity Circus' because it was even more interesting to me.
<Kathy Griffin
'My Life On the D List'
I think I should be the new Bachelorette but here's why the show wouldn't be highly rated: I don't want sexy 20-year-old guys vying for me. I want men who are super smart, think obnoxious redheads are hot and own their own homes. It could be me and a group of Jewish accountants and maybe a couple of dentists.
<Mark-Paul Gosselaar
'Raising the Bar'
I would love to co-host with Bear Grylls on 'Man vs. Wild.' I would like to be his sidekick for just one episode just to see if we could survive.
<Lesley Stahl
'60 Minutes'
I'm already on it: '60 Minutes.' My other favorite reality show: '48 Hours.'
<Kevin Connolly
'Entourage'
I would want to be on 'Survivor.' It's a massive test of will and people come back different than when they went in. Not that I wouldn't learn a bunch of life lessons on 'The Hills,' but 'Survivor' is more of a test. I don't know if I would eat bugs, though. I think I would rather eat my own arm.
<Thom Barry
'Cold Case'
I would go on 'American Idol' or 'Dancing With the Stars' because they're about talent. The other reality shows are on a whole different level. When you start talking about jumping in water or mud, or eating worms, I'm not participating in that.
<Julie Benz
'Dexter'
I think probably 'Dancing With the Stars.' I was an ice skater growing up and I think it'd be fun to dance again. I haven't danced in a kazillion years. And I would really get into the outfits. They're beautiful!
<Judy Reyes
'Scrubs'
If I had any cooking talent I would be on 'Top Chef. I watch it regularly. I like the reality shows that have to do with competition. I don't like those catty shows.
<Joanna 'Jojo' Levesque
'True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet'
'The Real World.' It looks like they have so much fun! But I'd never really do a reality show because they're way too personal.
<Daren Kagasoff
'The Secret Life of the American Teenager'
Can I say none? The only reason I got into this business is to be an actor and tell a story. I don't think I would ever want to be on a reality show but I do have one that I like to watch: 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' because my good buddy Rob Kardashian is on the show. My mom and I watch it every Sunday.
<Courtney Hansen
'Destination Wild'
I would want to be on 'Dancing With the Stars.' I was actually up to host that show. I think it's so cool seeing all of those celebrities putting themselves out there and being vulnerable. I would love to learn the dances. It looks like a blast.
<John Henson
'Wipeout'
My girlfriend and I are addicted to 'Top Chef. I'm not a good cook, but I am a good eater. If I went on any reality show, I'd hope it would be one of the creative competition ones instead of something like 'Cops.'
<Alfonso Ribeiro
'Catch 21'
'Dancing With the Stars.' But sadly it can't happen because they consider me semi-professional. Although I think that ballroom dancing is very different than tap-dancing or doing Michael Jackson moves, so I don't really get where they're coming from. I guess it's flattering that they think I'm that good.
<Fonzworth Bentley
'From G's to Gents'
Dancing is my forte. That's what I like to do. I may go for 'Dancing With the Stars' because they go through all of the styles of dancing and I think that would be really cool.
<Al Roker
'Today'
I hate to say this, but I don't watch any reality shows. Once we get the kids hosed down and put to bed, I want to relax with something that isn't reality, like 'Lost' or listening to my iPod. I get enough reality during the day.
