EW.com has confirmed that 'American Idol' season 9 will debut with a two-hour episode Tuesday, Jan. 12, 8PM on Fox. Premiere week will continue the following night, Jan. 13, from 8-9PM -- right before the series premiere of 'Our Little Geniuses.'
To celebrate, we'll do our own Ellen dance.

I agree, stopped watching show when they added ED. I did not like the fourth judge to begain with, then Paula left and they replaced her with ED. Now I know I will not watch anymore. Unless different changes are made later on.

I agree that Paula was a huge asset to the American Idol show but I think it's the contestants that make the show. I enjoy watching the show, even though yes it will not be the same without Paula, I feel that ED will bring her own spark to the show to add to making it interesting and enjoyable to all who do watch it. Best of luch to all the contestants this year and I'm excited to see and be able to expirence the new talent to arrive on the stage this year. Ready to see if we'll have another Adam Lambert this year, the real star of last years show !!
I totally agree, while Paula was good on the show she wasnt the one that made it. The contestants did.Its for the fact that all these partisipants, enter such competitions, that keep us viewed to the tv. every week.The judges are only there to make an opinion, no matter what judge it is. I thought Victoria Beckem looked really well tonight, on American Idol maybe she should chill out there for awhile. Maybe I should go over there and show them how to do it properly.what do ya think
