'American Idol' is in for another shake-up.The NY Post is reporting that season 9's Hollywood Week has been moved to January. The reason: scheduling issues.
According to show sources, 'Idol' is switching things around to accommodate Simon Cowell's busy schedule as 'The X Factor' wraps in London.
On the bright side, this may allow new judge Ellen DeGeneres to begin taping during this time, although her official start date has yet to be announced.
Still, it isn't all good news -- at least for the contestants. The report also says that contestants who passed the audition round will now have to wait over four months until they see the judges again.
For everyone's sake, it'd better be worth the wait.
