Adam Lambert may be stealing the fashion spotlight this season.But lately, all eyes have been on Danny Gokey's never-ending collection of glasses.
A new story from USA Today says the season 8 hopeful (whose vision is 20/200 -- or legally blind, according to the report) owns a whopping "18-pair collection of mostly rectangular, mostly thick-rimmed, often colorful glasses."
Danny's collection has grown considerably since the show started. Before 'Idol,' he reportedly owned "only" five or six pairs.
Now, Danny is turning into a trendsetter. His hometown optometrist, Jason Wagner, says he's been fielding calls from states like Colorado and Texas, all wanting to know about his famous client's specs.
"He's truly looking for his glasses to be part of his identity and to make him stand out," Wagner said.
Not a bad way to keep his eyes on the prize.

Danny sounds a lot like Joe Cocker. He should sing "Love Lifts us up where we belong"
