    Song: 'This Is My Now'
    High Notes: Jordin's first (also eponymous) album was unveiled last November, reaching No. 10 in the U.S. She can currently be seen and heard as Alicia Keys' opening act, after being temporarily sidelined from an acute vocal cord injury.

    Season 5: Taylor Hicks
    Song: 'Do I Make You Proud'
    High Notes: Taylor's finale ditty debuted at No. 1 on the singles chart and was certified gold. His eponymous album went platinum in early 2007. He may be under the radar these days, but he received $750,000 to pen his inspirational memoir 'Heart Full of Soul' (not too shabby).

    Season 4: Carrie Underwood
    Song: 'Inside Your Heaven'
    High Notes: 'Some Hearts' went platinum seven times over, making it the best-selling album by an 'Idol' contestant in the U.S. ... AND the best-selling solo female debut album in country music history. She's had five No. 1 hits on the country charts and won Grammys for Best New Artist and Best Female Country Vocal Performance and was named the all-time most popular 'Idol' winner in our AOL Television 'Idol' survey.

    Season 3: Fantasia Barrino
    Song: 'I Believe'
    High Notes: Fantasia debuted at No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 with her winning song, the first artist to do so with a first single. 'Free Yourself,' her first album, was certified platinum and received four Grammy noms. The singer garnered critical acclaim for her role as Celie in Broadway's 'The Color Purple,' and she's been cast to play Celie in the feature film.

    Season 2: Ruben Studdard
    Song: 'Flying Without Wings'
    High Notes: The "velvet teddy bear" was the Image Awards' Outstanding New Artist in 2004. His first release, 'Soulful,' sold 400,000 copies in its first week, the highest first-week sales of any 'Idol' winner, and eventually went platinum. Ruben has appeared in several TV shows ('8 Simple Rules,' 'Eve' among them) and the movie 'Scooby Doo 2.'

    Song: 'A Moment Like This'
    High Notes: Her second CD, 'Breakaway,' has sold 11 million copies worldwide. Kelly has two Grammys, for Best Pop Vocal Album and Best Female Pop Vocal Performance.
